"God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!"
-Ephesians 3:20, The Message Bible
ROOF ($$$$$)
- a new, much needed roof over our heads
- current one is like paper, has no insulation, leaks everywhere, and is about to fly off in a windstorm. not kidding.
- dreaming really big: for a thatched roof, the original roof this barn-now-home had 200 years ago. we'd love to restore her to her former beauty
LOFT/LIBRARY ($$$$)
- we think turning the current attic into a girls-only hang-out room and library would be a great idea
- it would require windows, insulation, drywall, flooring and heating
- desks and chairs, cozy couches, and bookshelves would be a dream come true
HORSES ($$$$$$)
- two to start with; friendly, family-loving, wouldn't-hurt-a-fly type of horses
- and all that would need to come with them: stable, corral, arena, tack and feed
- and please, don't forget the vet bills.
- we know, we're dreaming big...but we think horses would be perfect therapy for our guests
LAND ($$$$$)
- we'll let you in on a secret: if God were to give us horses, we would first need land. our backyard is big, but not that big!
- trust us, there's plenty of land available: north, south, east and west of us. horizons of it! we're dreaming for it all. seriously.
- we could also use the the land for planting, and building, and for dreaming of more and more big things the Lord could do with it.
HOUSE & PROPERTY NEXT DOOR ($$$$$$$)
- the house next door is the original home that for many, many years owned our once barn (big house) and pigsty (little house); twenty years ago the owners divided their property and sold half of it; we think bringing both properties into one again would be dreamy
- the house next door would accommodate our growing family; it would turn our big house, where we live now, into a home for women only; and would allow us to continue to use our little house for family, friends and co-workers that come to visit or serve
- the owners, almost in their eighties, have mentioned that they will need to sell their home one day, and that no one in their family wants it. little do they know what we are dreaming for...and the God we serve, who delights in granting us the desires of our hearts.
We know, we know: We're dreamers! But only because the Lord has led us to do so. May His will be done in all of our requests, and may He receive all of the glory for any of it coming to pass.
